This command creates a Typewriter field and brings up a dialogue box requesting you to enter the text to be typed in the field. Upon completion of your response to the dialogue box, the field will assume it normal appearance, as a lightly shadowed locked field with no visible text. When the field is clicked, however, the text you previously chose will (assuming the field is locked) be typed into the field, with the letters appearing in rapid succession at the right, and with the text streaming leftwards. Clicking on the field again will cause its text to disappear again. Typewriter fields are preset for 24-point SmartTimes, right-aligned, with wide margins. These fields can contain more than one line, but their message should be short, so the field is initially sized as a one-line field.
Associated with each typewriter field is a tiny, opaque, inert button, whose only purpose is to hide the cursor while text is being typed, since otherwise the blinking of the cursor can be a bit distracting. If you move or resize the typewriter field, its associated button will be properly relocated and resized the next time you click on the field to empty it of text. (If necessary, click once to type the text, so you can click to empty it again.)
You can, of course, edit the text in the field when it is showing, and the edited version will be used next time the field is typed.
